A trusted name for over two decades, Chamathka Jewellers is one of Sri Lanka’s most recognised fine jewellers, renowned for our craftsmanship and affordable luxury jewellery. We take pride in our commitment to excellence, offering the purest 925 sterling silver jewellery to customers across the island.
Since 2003
Silver jewellery has become a favourite among many in recent years, particularly among the younger generation — and Chamathka Jewellers has long been the go-to name for affordable yet luxurious silver pieces. As pioneering retailers of silver jewellery in Sri Lanka, we were established in 2003 and have since grown into a company engaged in jewellery manufacturing, exporting, and retailing, with a network of 23 outlets across the island — making us the largest jewellery retailer in the country.
Beyond our domestic presence, we proudly export exquisite, handcrafted jewellery studded with genuine Ceylon sapphires to discerning markets across Europe, including Switzerland and Germany. Our commitment to global craftsmanship and quality is reflected in our participation in leading international exhibitions each year, including the IJL Show, JCK Show, Hong Kong Show, IJT Show, and IIJS Show.
Chamathka Jewellers is a quality-endorsed company, approved by the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Authority. At the heart of our success lies a deep commitment to the relationships we build — with our customers and our suppliers alike. This philosophy drives us to go beyond the ordinary, offering intricate after-sales services that few national jewellers provide, including jewellery repairing, polishing, and plating — all completely free of charge.
As we celebrate 23 years in the jewellery industry, Chamathka Jewellers continues to expand its legacy beyond Sri Lanka’s shores, with the opening of our first international outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — a new chapter in our journey to bring trusted, exceptional craftsmanship to the world.

Mr. S.A.C. Angelo
Chamathka Jewellers was founded by Mr. S.A.C. Angelo, driven by his passion for jewellery design, craftsmanship, and exquisite gemstones.
An entrepreneur who began climbing the ladder of success at just 18 years of age, Mr. Angelo brings with him a wealth of industry expertise — with over 20 years of experience in the design and creation of exquisite jewellery, over 15 years of experience in retail trade, and 10 years of experience as a Managing Director at a jewellery-exporting BOI company.
Under his vision and leadership, Chamathka Jewellers quickly earned a reputation for exceptional designs, superior-quality materials, and meticulous craftsmanship — values that continue to define the brand today.

“I have worked on the Executive Board of three large gem exporters in Sri Lanka. During my 20-year tenure as an employee, having held managerial roles, I received many awards, including the Best Exporter of the Year award. Equipped with this background and the necessary skills, my urge to start a company of my own grew within me. It was then that I resigned from my managerial role and set up a small production unit with a single craftsman. Just three months after starting the company, I was able to open my first store in Colombo.
Customers were intrigued that precious gemstones such as sapphires, emeralds, and rubies were being offered to them at affordable prices when combined with sterling silver — and ever since, the company has grown steadily, reaching out to silver lovers across the island. Today, the company boasts 23 outlets located island-wide, over 20,000 jewellery designs, and a loyal customer base of 100,000.”
